Just a quick post! Spencer had his first pine wood derby tonight! He did great! It was so cute to see him get so excited about racing his car down the track! A complete opposite from his brother Joseph! It is so fun to watch each child and their personality. Each one is so different! I had a bad taste in my mouth for cub scouts with my first go at it. But each child brings new hope. Not that it was bad the first time, just a challenge, with an autistic son and clashes with leaders. Spencer loves scouts and mommy loves it because she does not have to worry about him. He has friends and he is well behaved for the leaders! I can relax and enjoy pack meetings with out trying to wrangle all the kids plus keep my scout in line...
OK, I got side tracked sorry. back on track! Spencer had a great time! His first race. We as parents decided with our first son that we would allow our boys do any or all of the work on their own of course with our supervision with the power tools. So Spencer and dad during 2 trips to Idaho did just that! Dad did not know this but our second trip was planned to finish his car. I could not let anyone else help him with the car but his dad! That is just a father son activity and always will be for my boys! So here are a few pics I got of Spencer and his car! By the way took 3rd place! Spencer did have help tonight by Bro. Johnson putting on the wheels! Thank you Bro Johnson for your help. The original wheels were lost on the second trip to Idaho in the mist of our house project. It's life right now!
OK I promise picture time now!

How fun! He's got such a quirky, cute smile! LOVE. IT.
This has always been a special "thing" for me and the boys. Spencer did his own paint job and I applied some gloss to make it sparkle. Spencer is such a great kid to have in our lives. He is turning into such a good young man
