A family adventure

Today I was feeling yucky had a lot of packing to do and then said "the heck with this, I am going up to the mountains."  So we cleaned up the house , packed a lunch and headed up high way 55 to Lowman.  A friend of mine told me about a really nice little hot springs, I had been wanting to explore this area so we did today.  I am also taking the girls here this weekend while the boys are on the father and sons campout.  Camping and being outdoors is who I am and I will do anything to be out in the nature, where peace and serenity are all around.   Here are a few pictures of our day adventure!  It was so fun!

Just a quick note

I love my kids they are great!!!!!!
I can not believe that I have had the privlage of being a mother for 9 years, time flys by so fast. Just had a meeting with The IEP group for Joseph at school and we are making progress. I will be asking for a report monthly on how Joseph is doing and if I do not see progress then I will demand that he have a 1 on 1 to help him, because he does exeptionally well with help. I believe that if he has help that he will slowly progress and then we can work on him learning to be more independet in his school work. I love him and want what is best for him!!!! He is reallly a great kid that deserves the best shot at what is put in front of him.
Just a quick note on his social side of life. At church there is a great family with a boy that is 1 year older then he is. I have encourage Joseph to invite him over to play and he has really enjoyed that. They little boy is very patient with Joseph and it has helped him in learning social ques and what happens and how friends are supposed to treat each other. There are only a hand full of boys that have patience and I am glad that My Father in Heaven has placed these two kids together and I hope and pray that they will develop a good relationship and have good memories together, it sure does light up Josephs eyes when he has a friend that wants to do something with him.

Making Peanut Butter

Today we were finishing up with our christmas treats for our friends and we were making chexs mix which required peanuts. Joseph wanted some nuts in a bowl to eat. So he put them in a bowl and disappeared into the kitchen. He came back to the table with a potato masher and the bowl of peanuts. I asked him what he was doing and he replied is this how you make peanut butter because I need a peanut butter sandwich!!!!! What a cute kid with brilliant ideas!!!!

Josephs Baptism

We have been so busy with the Holidays that I have not been able to take a break and write so I thought that I would take a few minutes before life gets busier. Well I can hardley beleive that my son is 8 and is now baptized and is a member of the church now. I can not beleive how fast life goes. It was just yesterday that he was placed in my arms as a newborn. And now he is again new and clean form sin. I love him. He as grown so much and and has learned so many things. I am so happy that our SAvior has entrusted me to be his mother. I love him. I am amazed at how much he has grown to love his Savior I hope that I can continue to provide the atmosphre for him to feel of the Spirit and the love of his Savior. I love the gospel and the knowlegde that it brings to us. What a peaceful feeling in these times of trouble that we feel in this world at this time.

Josephs middle of the night escapade

We all went to bed around 10:30 last night butJoseph just was having a hard time falling asleep. David and I woke up at 12:30 1:00 to to find Joseph rustlling around out in the living room. David came out to see what was going on and to his suprise, Joseph had completly dismantled our computer and was moving it to his bedroom. When I asked him this morning why he replied" I didn't want to wake any one up. I could have been mad but I found my self thinking in his shoes. How concerned he was about everyone. A year ago he would not have thought that. He has become very aware of those around him and is starting to see others outside of his little world. So remember that children are only children once and remember to use moments like these as teaching lessons not only for our children but for us as well.
